In my view, I prefer to choose the schools which allow me to directly study courses closely associated with my major. The main reason is that I have been very clear about my future career choice that I want to be a boss in the tourism. Thus, if directly learning major courses, I may master important skills needed for my job in a short time, such as how to effectively design tour products, how to attract customers, how to be an excellent tour guide and so on. All these can help me grasp what I need. However, if choosing the other option, I may waste a lot of time learning something unrelated.

I think students should master mathematics when they are in schools. Taking myself for example, I don’t care about others, my major is accounting and in the future my dream is to be

a financial or an economic analyst. If doing the job like that,I have to know something about derivative, differentiation, integration and so on. Or else I am not able to clearly analyze some data. And the math courses in my university happens to be teaching the knowledge mentioned above. However, if I wait to learn some math knowledge in my work, when stepping into an investment company, I may lag far behind because the majority of my colleagues have good math foundation.

I think the scholarship should be given to students having excellent academic performance, because this way tends to be fair. No matter the poor students or those who are not poor,they both have the equal chance to study and improve themselves, so in order to get the scholarship, they will pursue the higher, the faster, the stronger on their studies or academic researches, which well embodies the spirit of schools. However, if only giving to those poor students, it is better for thescholarship to change its name into pension. The school should be full of careand love, yet the priority for the schools is to teach and cultivate students,instead of a shelter.

To some extent I think video teaching is a reasonable choice. The main reason is this choice is money saving. Concerning the reality in my country–China, in some westernpoor provinces, there is not sufficient budget for many senior high schools to build some biology or chemistry labs equipped with adequate facilities, thus some students may not have the chances to do experiments by themselves. So, if there are well described videos given to the students in poor areas, then those students can also learn some knowledge or principles from biology or chemistry or physics subject. Through the video teaching, knowledge learnt, problem addressed, money saved, I think this choice is acceptable.

Personally speaking, I prefer professors make decisions. The main reason is professors’choices tend to be mature and informed. They are clear about what students should learn and master for certain subjects. Taking the economics for example , professors have been investigating in this field for decades, they know students should learn courses like mathematics, econometrics, statistics, finance and so on, so as to master the skills needed in economics. However, if choosing by students, they are likely to be in a puzzle or at a loss about which courses to learn, consequently they may not learn necessary knowledge and achieve desired results.

Personally speaking, I will choose the university that gives me scholarship, because money is decisive factor for me. My family is not affluent; both my father and mother are the blue-collar workers; their annual income is no more than 10 thousand dollars. Thus, if having the scholarship, I can use the scholarship to cover part of my tuition, the cost of my rent, my clothes and my daily meals and so on. However, if without the scholarship, hardly can I pay for my university, Imay have to have several part-time jobs to cover my expenditure, which will make me exhausted.

Personally speaking, I agree with the statement. The benefit is this choice can help the school save a bunch of money. Nowadays in my city all the students have their own laptop and they like to finish various assignments on their own laptop because it is really convenient. Not even once will many students go to the computer labs in schools. Thus, if closing the computer labs, the school doesn’t need to buy the computers, doesn’t need to spend money on the maintenance and repairs and doesn’t need to cover the electricity money, which is really economical. Then the school can use the saved money to do more researches.

Personally speaking, this trend is beneficial.

The most remarkable reason is saving money. For schools, using the e-books and electronic devices, the university doesn’t have to build a library or rehabilitate the old library,which is money-saving; also there is the wear and tear, the more students read and borrow paper books, the more money schools will have to spend on maintenance and repairs. Apart from those, the price for an e-book is much cheaper than the price for one paper book, in my city the price for an e-book is usually one fifth of a paper book, then the universities can save a bunch of money when buying materials for students or teachers for reference.
